Throughout this major portfolio expansion, Severson served as the lead market underwriter for 40 of the 69 properties which comprised the $900 million Pacific Gulf Properties portfolio transaction in 2001, the Southern California portion of the $2.1 billion Cabot Industrial Trust acquisition in 2002, and the acquisition and repositioning of the $185 million San Diego Tech Center in 2005. In addition, Severson negotiated and built a number of build-to-suit developments between 60,000 and 300,000 square feet as well as speculative developments totaling more than 4 million square feet.

Severson began his career in 1985 as an industrial broker with Lee & Associates where he completed more than 3.5 million square feet of sale and lease transactions, as well as several land sales for speculative and build-to-suit developments. In 1988, Severson joined Saddleback Associates as vice president of acquisitions and marketing where he handled site acquisition, entitlements and sales and leasing of seven industrial developments exceeding 1.2 million square feet.

Severson received his B.S. in business from the University of Southern California in 1984 with an emphasis in real estate. He also received a Certificate in Commercial and Industrial Development Management from the University of California, Irvine in 1990. He holds a California Real Estate Brokers license and a California General Contractors license.
