William R. Halford

President and Chief Executive Officer

Bill Halford is president and chief executive officer of Bixby Land Company, a private REIT and vertically integrated commercial real estate investment firm. Halford was appointed to this role in 2006 following 12 years as a member of the company’s board of directors. Halford has strategically repositioned the company through the sale and reinvestment of 40 properties totaling $800 million and directed the investment of $500 million in joint ventures with institutional partners. Bixby now owns and operates an institutional quality portfolio of assets throughout the Western United States valued at nearly $1 billion.

Halford was previously president of The Irvine Company’s office and industrial properties division from 1995–2006. He was responsible for all aspects relating to the operation of a 30 million-square-foot office and industrial portfolio, one that is widely considered to be the largest and most prestigious assemblage of assets in California. Halford oversaw the leasing, asset management and operations of a 400-building portfolio of office, industrial, flex/R&D and self-storage properties in Orange County, Los Angeles, Silicon Valley and San Diego.
